I was tested for swine flu!!!!

Flu Bugs....

I woke up last Tuesday with a funny tickle in my throat.  Almost like I slept with my mouth open.  Then the body aches started.  I was sick.
I often get these 1-day colds, crazy I know.
Wednesday I felt much better, but a little stuffy.
Thursday morning it was bad again.  Stuffy and runny nose, achy, watery eyes.
I left after the show Thursday to try and rest.  The symptoms grew worse.
Friday morning I woke up and knew I couldn't go into work.  I didn't want to infect my co-workers.  The body aches got worse, then the chills started.  My temperature reached 101.8.
I headed for the doctor.
After listing off my symptoms the doctor said she'd be right back.
She re-entered the room with a surgical mask on... and handed one to me.  She said according to the CDC you have symptoms synonymous with swine flu and must be tested.  She said I had to wear my mask while in public, until my temperature dropped back down to normal.
She stuck this long, flexible Q-tip into my throat, via my nose.  It made my eyes water and kind of stung.
Then I had to get blood taken.
I may not know the results for days.  I do know I was most contagious around last Tuesday, and none of my co-workers are showing symptoms (at least not for swine flu).
So if you were ever wondering how they're testing people... now you know.
Your welcome:)
