"BOW WOW WOW... AND MEEOOOW!"
Those are the words pets everywhere are using to describe West Sacramento's Wag Hotel.




This boutique hotel is just for cats and dogs... no iguana's please.
The only place locally where staff is on hand 24/7 for drop off, pick up or just a call to check in on your little angel.   Prices range from $38 a night for small dogs to $25 bucks for cats.  They also offer an all-day play for dogs who need a spot to go while their parents are at work.
For a little extra, owners can arrange for a blueberry facial, zen massage, swim time, paw-ticure or grooming. Inside the lobby is a gift shop that offers a slew of photo frames, clothing, collars and much more.
The cattery was designed with the help of UC Davis researchers to give felines a cozy and entertaining environment.  A fish tank sits in the middle of the room, visible to all the guests during their stay.  Cats are kept in special two room cottages with adequate ventilation.  They are released throughout the day, for kitty cuddle time and group play.
Dogs, meanwhile, have a choice of several room sizes.
All linens are changed daily.
A list of vaccinations are required before the stay, and are kept on record in case Fido or Fluffy need to be dropped off in an emergency.  For a link to Wag, click here.
