Good Monday Morning!!!
(Ummm this time next week we will be rolling right into Thanksgiving!!! What?? 2009 is knocking on the door!)
Monday just comes too quickly!! It's so hard to peel myself out of bed- but especially hard on Mondays!!
I had an amazing weekend- and I hope you did too!!!
Friday- I watched the Kings very *nearly win in overtime to the Suns (I really thought it was going to go into double overtime!) That Shaquille O'Neal is one massive dude!!! He's huge on the screen and in real life! (PS- our Segment Producer sat next to him at Social Thursday- just thought I'd share.)
I spent Saturday trying to get settled into my new apartment (and failing miserably- I'm so easily distracted!) Walked to Tres Hermanas for lunch...
(Their salsa is ligit)
After yet another Ikea run (there goes Friday's paycheck!) met Darsha at this amazing Thai spot (Chada Thai Cuisine 1624
Broadway Sacramento, CA 95818 (916) 444-8909) that we love!
Landed at GV Hurley's for the rest of the night with Darsha, Natalie and a few other fine Fox40 folks...but alas-- this schedule leaves me perpetually tired so I left early...to sleep!!! So boring.
Sunday was awesome!!! Saw the matinee showing of "Oprah Winfrey Presents The Color Purple" through Broadway Sacramento. You may recall a couple weeks ago on the morning show when former American Idol Finalist for Season 3, La Toya London, sang a few bars for us. Well, let me tell you -- watching her on stage LIVE bringing the character "Nettie" to life was absolutely amazing. The entire cast blew me away. I'd never seen the show-- and wow. What a treat!! Maybe my favorite part-- sitting next to a 75 year old woman and her son--- he'd brought her to the show for her birthday and of course we made fast friends. I enjoy people, enjoying life.
